Overview
We shoot our own work and we crew for others. Either way you get a unit that has worked together before — which is the difference between a shoot day that gets its shot list and one that runs into overtime.
Packages scale from a two-person documentary kit to a full lit drama unit with camera, lighting, grip and sound departments.
The look
Lighting that suits the story
We design a look with you rather than applying a house style: available light and long lenses for observational work, controlled and contrasty for drama, clean and flattering for commercial pieces. Lens choice, movement and grade intent are agreed before the shoot so the footage arrives at post already pointing somewhere.
We shoot in log with proper monitoring and on-set data management, so nothing is lost between the card and the edit.
The crew
Local departments, quickly assembled
Our regular crew are Teesside-based, which keeps travel and accommodation off the budget and means we can staff up at short notice. DoP, focus puller, gaffer, spark, grip, sound recordist, art, hair and make-up and runners — all available as a full unit or individually.
We can also drop into an existing production as camera or lighting department only, working to another producer's schedule.
