Where are you based, and how far do you travel?

We are based in Middlesbrough and shoot right across Teesside and the wider North East. We will travel further for the right project, but our crew, kit and casting network are all local, which keeps productions here efficient.

What sort of budgets do you work with?

It varies enormously — from self-funded shorts to commissioned documentaries and branded films. Tell us the story and the budget you have, and we will be straight with you about what is achievable rather than quietly cutting corners.

How long does a film take?

A short promo can be turned around in a few weeks. A short film usually runs a couple of months from development to delivery, and a feature documentary takes considerably longer because access and filming happen over time.

Do you handle everything, or just the shoot?

Everything, if you want it. Development, writing, casting, production management, direction, camera, sound, edit, grade, mix and score are all in-house. We are also happy to come in for one stage only.

I'm an actor — how do I get seen?

Get in touch with a recent showreel or headshots. We cast from North East talent wherever we can, and we keep details on file for future productions and open calls.

Do you offer work experience placements?

We welcome enquiries from students at the University of Sunderland, Teesside University, Stockton Riverside College, Middlesbrough College and The Northern School of Art. Placements depend on the projects in production, safeguarding requirements and the kind of experience you need, so contact us with your course, dates and placement requirements.

Do you advertise casting calls and crew opportunities?

Yes. Open casting calls and paid crew opportunities are shared through our website and social channels when a production needs them. You can also send us a concise introduction, your location, credits and a current showreel or portfolio for future consideration.

Do I need professional experience to be cast?

Accepted Answer

Not always. Some roles need experienced performers, while others are better served by street casting and people with direct experience of the world we are filming. Every brief makes the requirements clear, and first-time performers receive proper support.

Can you help with funding applications?

Accepted Answer

We can support a bid with treatments, schedules, budgets and the production detail funders look for. We cannot guarantee an outcome, but we know what a credible plan needs to contain.

Can I pitch a story or documentary idea to you?

Yes. Send a short summary explaining the story, why it matters now, who is involved and what access already exists. Please do not send a full unsolicited screenplay at first; a focused one-page outline gives us enough to decide whether a conversation makes sense.
