Shaun Robinson is an award-winning screenwriter, script advisor and screenwriting teacher with a passion for practical storytelling and helping writers find their voice.
Over the past five years, Shaun has worked with writers to develop and strengthen their scripts, with several projects going on to become award-winning short films. He believes great writing isn't about following endless rules — it's about understanding what makes a story work, finding your voice and creating characters and stories that genuinely connect with an audience.
As part of Smoggie Bloom, Shaun is helping to champion authentic storytelling rooted in the people, places and communities around us. The Teesside-based film company has lofty ambitions to create compelling films that celebrate local voices, uncover overlooked stories and shine a positive light on the communities they represent.
Through Smoggie Bloom's growing slate of documentary and narrative projects, Shaun is committed to developing stories that feel honest, entertaining and meaningful — while helping to create opportunities for local talent and bring Teesside stories to wider audiences.
